It is important to remember that brainfog is a symptom of another condition, and so the symptoms you see here purely relate to brainfog and are the symptoms commonly reported of it. You will likely have symptoms not listed here. This list is designed to help you understand and categorise your symptoms, and help those unsure if they have brainfog, determine if they do.

You don't have to have every symptom on this list to have brainfog, and you do not have to have a certain severity of each symptom. Symptoms that brainfog itself can cause (such as Depression) will not be listed here.

Symptoms

Difficulty Concentrating

You may struggle to focus no matter how important it is or how dedicated you try to make yourself to it.

Memory Problems

Your short term and/or long term memory might be completely fragmented (Like memories are shards of glass) or completely non existant. You quickly forget what someone has just said to you or can just remember fragments you can't quite put together.

Comprehension Problems

You may find it difficult to truly understand what someone is saying or what you are reading, despite understanding the meaning of the text or speech, and as a result may need to constantly re-read or have the information broken down or repeated, and even still may have trouble understanding.

Thinking Problems

You have problems thinking clearly, and may say things that don't make sense to those around you because you struggle to tell them clearly what you mean as you can't quite find the right words and put everything together.
